Lizzie was great and tried to smooth over the frustration encountered when checking in. When I arrived and checked into my appointment, I was presented with a waiver to sign as if I was going to be doing a medicated cycle and asked to pay $725. A day 3 baseline ultrasound and labs were ordered and should be covered by my insurance. I felt like I had to pay in order to proceed with the tests I needed done on day 3 in order to not delay until my next cycle. These tests were ordered by an out of state IVF clinic, sent to Southdale ObGyn by the clinic and by me directly through the portal so it's hard for me to understand why there was confusion about what was being carried out that day and what my insurance was covering. It made me question whether I was getting all of the right tests that my IVF clinic needed. When I got home, an NP called to ask me whether all of the tests were run - how would I know?! In addition, I have to wait for Southdale ObGyn to process these tests through insurance before I am reimbursed the $725 I paid today so another part of the process I have to stay on top of and advocate for because the orders were not correct. I tried so hard to make this clear.
