Work directly with members of our patient service team and patients to capture and verify patient insurance information, explain payment options and terms, and establish payment plans with patients. Requires knowledge of insurance products and medical billing. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Position is primarily housed in the Edina location, but will need to work in Burnsville periodically. Previous experience on an EMR is preferred.
Southdale ObGyn Consultants, an independent medical practice with clinics in Edina and Burnsville, is seeking 2 certified Nurse Midwives with a minimum of 5 years experience in a clinic setting to help support a new midwifery program. We would consider candidates with as little as 3 years experience with a strong labor and delivery background.
Our nurse midwife program complements an array of services offered by our talented, caring and compassionate team of 12 board-certified ObGyn physicians, 2 certified nurse practitioners, and 1 Functional Medicine/Holistic health certified nurse
The ideal candidate will bring midwifery certification and experience, and will have clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, a positive and caring personality and a passion for women’s health.
Current CNM certification is required.
Work hours will vary and will include a shared on-call rotation.
The position will require:
- Three days/week in the clinic
- Two 24-hour calls per week
- One weekend call per month

Work as a member of a team t at the front desk and in the call center to schedule patients, verify and update patient information, greet and check-in patients, and oversee reception area. Previous clinical experience, especially obgyn, preferred. Ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills and be comfortable navigating various computer systems.
Provide day to day support as a working lead of the Patient Support Services Team. Ensure front desk, call center and medical records processes are staffed. Supervise and assist with the development of Patient Support Services team members. Assist with resolution of any service issues. Successful candidate will have the ability to model patient-focused customer service skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, knowledge of clinical scheduling operations, ability to navigate an EMR, and the ability to foster a good working environment.
